Here is what people are saying about us

Hi Adam,

Thank you for the information I have ordered 3 jars of the Hot Goan Curry paste along with the wonderful Lime Pickle. I have no problem with you quoting me on the new web site and you may also wish to mention that the free recipe which came with jar has proved to be a winner with all my family and friends.

Cheers

Congratulations to you on being the ruler of my cupboards!!

Since being given some of your products for my birthday last year ( I always ask for something special and local) I have been a major fan of all things Mr Vikkis to the extent that i asked this birthday could I only have things made by you!! May I congratulate you on your fresh approach to sauces / pickles etc Whilst they are readily available in various guises from different companies I can honestly say there are none to compare.

Your lime pickle is so fresh tasting I would now be embarrassed to serve anything less and it also is the base for my most popular starter for a dinner party ( or even as a Friday night baked potato filler)
Try this one - mix prawns, mayo, lime pickle as an alternative to the old marie rose. I like to serve this with bahjis & salad but it is just as good with a baked potato on bonfire night. I have had so many compliments for this one! If you want to be posh it's also really good in little tartlets with smoked salmonand the afore mentioned prawns.

Tomato and nigella, well where do i start! I have wolfed my way through about 6 jars already. I got one for my birthday, i brought out some crackers and it was gone before it hit the cupboard! My guests ate all of it and I had to buy more for myself. My best tip is to serve it with a barbeque it goes with everything.

Trusting you then with your magic for ingredients I tried the hot coriander, I don't even like coriander but it is one of your best sauces along with mr Vikki's hot stuff which goes into lots of my meals. my family say they don't like Indian food but anything with your tandoori curry paste in always goes down a treat!

Well enough of the creeping, thank you for giving me a fantastic base for lots of my entertaining and day to day cooking. I wish you all the best in your future produce. If you were ever to need a tester I am only round the corner! (Penrith). Good luck and I hope for many good things to come.

In anticipation,

Sarah Reid & family

P.S. see you in Keswick, my cupboards are running dry - again!!!

Hi

We have tried your two sauces after a trip to Keswick - Harry's and Max's sausage sauce and think they are fantastic - the rest of the family is converted too! We are from Preston and wonder were else we might be able to buy them - Keswick is a long trip for a few bottles of sauce?

Review about HHH Hell Hot Habanero
It is the best chilli product I have ever tasted and adds a distinctive and wonderful flavour however it is used. I use it on cold meats, cheese, in omelettes, etc, or to spice up any sort of cooked dish. Marvellous stuff. I will be buying more products from Mr Vikki

Hi,

I purchased some of your North Indian Curry Sauce from your stall in Keswick market last week. Unfortunately, I forgot to get the recipe that tells you what to add to the sauce to change to various flavours. I’m looking to try it as a Korma, a Vindaloo and unchanged and would be grateful if you could confirm the recipes that were on menu board.
Thanks!

Cheryl
p.s. the HHH pickle is fantastic!

Good afternoon

I am staying in the Lake District this week and have been hoping to buy some jars of 'Mary's Cumberland Lemon Cheese' which I have had previously from the Elterwater village shop and post office.
Unfortunately they have no stock at present.
Please can you advise me URGENTLY where I may obtain these products in the area.

Thanking you
Jennifer Christie

I just reached the bottom of a bottle of HHH, the cause of a great
sadness. Thankfully the website address appears on the label. I can
safely say that, after a lifetime of enjoying hot chilli sauces,
relishes, pickles, this is the first time I have actively looked
online to find where I can order more of a product.

The HHH isn't just about the heat (and there's plenty of that), it is
packed full of flavour. I put it on sandwiches, on the side of a
curry, even on peanut butter toast. Anything but cheese, as it
obliterates anything with a subtle flavour. It's my favourite sauce by
far

Reghed has become an essential stop for me, having discovered HHH. It's the best hot pickle I have ever tasted. Please do a bigger jar.

Chutney's with a twist

Can’t have curry without chutney? Check out the Mr Vikki’s range. The chutneys are cooked in small batches using recipes that fuse Asian and western influences. The award-winning hot apricot and hot gooseberry are fragrant with fruit and spices, while the HHH chilli pickle is a favourite with Indian restaurants.

Dear Sir/Madam

We always buy some of your wonderful products when we travel up to Keswick for a few days. We are coming again next Monday for a few days (till Saturday) and we would like to buy a couple of Jars of Lemon Harissa on the Thursday Market if you are there then, and if not, on the Saturday. I said i would email you, when i bought some things from you in June, because you said you did'nr always bring the Lemom Harissa with you. Also i would like to try a Jar of the Lemon Pickle as well, as i've not tried that one as yet. Very Many Thanks, look forward to seeing you next Thursday.

Yours Sincerely
Paul Taylforth

As an avid curry lover, I was delighted to see your stall in Keswick Market a couple of weeks back, on what was a very rainy camping holiday.
The aroma from the spices cooking on the hob proved irresistible, and I ordered the chicken tikka with a touch of the vegetable curry on the side, as well as some of your chutneys.
The taste explosion certainly brightened up our week, and we'll definitely be ordered some of your products, as well as recommending them to friends and family.
One of the best curry bases I have tasted!
Kind regards,

Bob Brooks (and family)

The Moody Baker and Marzia

Hello Adam!

Its been a long time since I saw you at any of the farmer's markets, but thank you for the sample jar of King Naga you gave me through Alston Wholefoods a few weeks back. I had another chilli pickle on the go then so I've only just tried it.... and I thought the HHH was hot!

I must say it is delicious, brought tears to my eyes (in a good way!) and I can't have cheese on toast without it! Not only is it hot but it also has a lovely flavour (unlike the chilli pickle I had from another local producer....)
I hope you and the missus are well and the business is going strong.
Best wishes and good luck!

Marzia - The moody baker

PS Dave is on his third jar....

... that I love the chutneys and pickles I picked up from you on Saturday in Knutsford.

I like to think of myself as an expert on these matter (although I blatantly am not!!!) and the stuff I got from you were top class. I especially love the Hot Apricot and I'm a bit gutted I didn't go for the Tamirind or Banana chutneys.
Next time you are in Knutsford please let me know.

Cheers

Peter

Trish Chaffey

Sarah Reid

Hi Adam and Mary.

Thankyou so much for your help earlier this year when we asked you to help us
out with some "anniversary pickle" for Helen & Allan's golden wedding
celebration. They were absolutely delighted with their pickle and with the help
of all the other mr vikkis goodies it was a superb meal. I was also really
pleased to be invited to look around your kitchens etc, - I am a very strong
supporter of local produce and it's great to be "allowed in". I I do however
have one complaint. We bought some jams from you for that weekend - they seem
to evaporate !!!!!!!! they were very popular that weekend and since then we
have been back to Keswick to buy lots more. The jams are superb.

Some new recipesyou may want to include on your website as they are seasonal
-- brush coley or pollock fillets with goan curry paste, wrap in foil and bbq
for 10 -15 mins, lovely, chicken or turkey skewers are great basted with mango
chutney and bbq for about 10 mins and tomato and nigella goes with everything.

I really hope you will start the bottles again, i recently went into a shop in
town and bought up their last stocks of hot coriander - i can't imagine life
without it.
I have a friend who has lots of blackcurrants and damsons'local and preparedf
to swapy ifyou are interested let me know.

Best wishes,
Sarah x

Alan Ulverston

Dear All

Just to let you know that your product has become a family ''must have.'' We where introduced to your products at last years Chilly Festival and again this year.
We went into York at the weekend to top up but as we live near Ulverston we intend to have a drive to Keswick market as I have my orders to complete for family hampers for Christmas which are to be dispatched to Yorkshire and my son in Cumbria.
Many thanks for the products and we would be pleased if you could find an outlet in the Ulverston area.
Keep up the good work.

Best regards

Alan
